The White Lies Duet is an emotional roller coaster that delivers a powerful punch to the heart. The dialogue is smart, seductive, mesmerizing, well executed and flows effortlessly.

Lisa Rene Jones is an amazing storyteller and her incredible talent for compelling characterization and original premises comes through on every page. I absolutely adored the characters! Hot, sexy, intense, arrogant, badass attorney Nick" Tiger" Rogers is 1 hell of a hero, and Religion Winter, the brave owner of the Reid Wintertime Winery, astonishing artist and hunted heroine is his perfect match. Loved the style these ii uncommitted individuals, are immune to grow individually, equally well as a couple and how they teach each other the true meaning of always-lasting, unconditional love and how they were able to come dorsum from their problems and bargain with them in a healthy and mature style. I too loved revisiting one-time characters from the Inside Out series - Sarah and Chris Merit.

This was truly a delightful read. A superbly crafted story, laced with all the elements I savor in my romances and featuring two compelling, circuitous, multi-layered characters that undeniably belong together. Overall rating for this duet – 4.v stars.

"You're perfect, Faith." "No Nick. I'thou cleaved. But I'thou pretty prepare to be broken with y'all, if y'all think you desire to exist broken with me."
"Not broken. Together. Whole. Us. We. You and me.

SHAMELESS is full of action, suspense & mystery. Information technology is really captivating.

Book 2 starts where Volume i ended.

SHAMELESS is full of activity, suspense & mystery. Information technology is really captivating.

The bail between the couple gets stronger. They take fights or problems merely they get out of them fifty-fifty stronger.

It is articulate that the lies and secrets will be their downfall. Nick doesn't tell the truth to Religion for a long fourth dimension and when she discovers it, she feels really betrayed.

The issues arise, they cause a brusk fourth dimension separation (no cheating during separation) and the consolation comes in a beautiful manner, making Faith trust Nick and believe in his feelings over again.

I really loved this duet. It was emotional, hot and angsty. Information technology was full of suspense and it was a page turner.

Both books are written by dual point of view.

I recommend the books to anyone who wouldn't be bothered by the lies or the sex society experience of the couple in their pasts.

***********************************************

Some quotes from Book two:

"Then you need to confess your sins, Nick." He goes completely, utterly nonetheless.
"What sins, Faith?"
"The ones you oasis't told me. The ones yous don't want to tell me. Trust me that much. Because information technology's not about what y'all haven't told me that feeds distrust. It's about your unwillingness to tell me."
He snags my hips and pulls me to him. "When I'g ready, remember?"
"Yeah. Agreed. But I'g already exposed and on the line with you, more so than ever by moving to the city with you. And so, when practice you think you'll be set up?"
"When I've made it incommunicable for you to live without me."
"Because you call up I'll want to leave when you expose yourself?"
"Yes," he says, solemnly. "I practise. Only you lot demand to know that I'll fight for you."

***

"Organized religion." She leans, back and I residue my hand on her face. "I tin't lose you lot."
"And then yous won't," she says. "Because if there is one thing I know well-nigh yous, Nick Rogers, information technology's that you don't lose annihilation you really want." She'due south right. I don't and I desire her.

***

I cannot assistance merely wonder—when two people become this vulnerable to each other, when we need each other to proceed from shattering, does this mean together we are weaker, or stronger?

***

"I demand you too much, Nick. I need yous to know that'south scaring me considering I'k agape you'll see it as something it's not."
"Then nosotros'll be scared together, because I need you, Faith. So fucking much it hurts. Don't make me feel that alone because y'all're agape of getting hurt. Because I'g just equally agape."
I pull dorsum to look at him. "You're afraid."
"Yes. And I don't exercise fear. I don't article of clothing it well, remember?"
"God, Nick. You are—"
He kisses me, a deep, drugging kiss before he pulls back, those deep dark bluish eyes meeting mine. "I am what?"
"Everything."

***

"I've got you lot," I promise. Our eyes lock, the mood darkening, the pull between us fiercely present. "I know, Nick. Simply don't let go, okay?"
"Sweetheart. I'chiliad not going to let become. That's a promise, but don't forget you said that and how I replied."

***

I kiss her again and she does that thing she does, which I swear I want to feel again and again for the rest of my fucking life. She sighs into the kiss, as if she tin finally breathe, as if I'one thousand the reason she breathes. She's damn sure the reason I breathe…

***

"Stop. When you touch me I get more than confused."
"Confused," I echo. "That'due south what my touch makes you feel?"
"I can't think when you bear on me, Nick."
"And that's a problem? Because I can hope you that if you lot can do a mathematical equation while a man is touching y'all, he'southward the wrong man. I'thou not the wrong man."

***

She senses information technology. She knows it. She knows me in ways people who take known me for years do not.

I need to fix this. I'grand damn skilful at fixing things. This can't be the exception. I will make things right with Faith. I will make everything right in her earth, including me.

I actually enjoyed reading it.

We finally detect out if and how Faith and her Tiger will get their happy cease.
And it's a long way for them and the reader until they might or might non go at that place! ☺
Lots of mysterious and exciting and very erotic moments will keep us company on the way!
Dandy finale to the White Lies duet!

It was a bit too long here and in that location - a few less words wouldn't accept been bad.
And the writing was also not really what nosotros're used to from LRJ. Only I understand that she was going through a family result during the writing of it, and so it's totally understandable that this wouldn't be her all-time work.
The whole mystery part of the volume and the whole excitement that could've or rather should've been in this second and final book, came manner also short. It was such a back and forth between practise I tell her? Do I continue lying? Dude, y'all always know lying will not end happily for you!
The suspensy end was a bit too rushed.

As well...the cover? That is non really Faith? Why make such a weird cover? Religion is blonde and a pretty insecure person most of the time - not such a vampy lady!

But I nevertheless loved reading information technology! Especially because at that place was so much Chris and Sara in information technology. And because Nick and Faith were really smashing characters. In that location was just a lot missing and on the other paw too much redundant stuff in here for me.

Can't wait to see what Lisa will come up up with next! Even though we notwithstanding have 2 astonishing books in the Muddy Money serial to look forward to!!!!

SHAMELESS was a great finale in the Faith & Nick Love Story! Very exciting & erotic & mysterious ... Run to your nearest amazon for your ain Nick - this one is MINE!!! And Chris as well, of course!

In the determination to the White Lies duet, Nick is trying to:
✼ discover the link between his father and Faith'south mother,
✼ figure out why the winery is on anyone's radar,
✼ distinguish between friend and foe,
✼ keep his secrets close to his chest until he knows Faith is safe, and
✼ go along Faith at his side despite all that he'due south hiding.

"I'k in this with you until the end." - Nick

Amidst all of that, he and Faith are getting closer and the honey they accept for 1 another is growing deeper. The tone of their relationship was different in this book only no less beautiful. Between their conversations, interactions, and times in bed, I found a new intimacy to what they shared and the author captured it eloquently.

"I demand this woman. I demand her like I demand my next breath." - Nick

"I want her to exist right here, with me, willingly, emotionally exposed." - Nick

Going into this, I really didn't think I could adore Nick more than than I already did. Here was this guy who went afterward a woman, seeking answers, maybe even seeking some justice for his father's decease. He couldn't fifty-fifty stand his begetter and so his goals spoke to just how honorable a man Nick was. He meets this woman, Faith, and soon later he'due south left absorbed and consumed past her. No style would his middle tie itself to a killer. Gosh, the depths this man was willing to go to in order to still find his answers while protecting his woman were immense. Honestly, this entire review could be a beloved letter of the alphabet to Nick because in my opinion, Organized religion was a bit character. I know she played a huge office in this story, but Nick stole the spotlight. Kudos to LRJ for giving me another alpha male heartthrob to dearest!

I loved Nick and Organized religion and I loved the passion they shared for 1 another. A fierce and protective lawyer and a creative upwards and coming artist. Their relationship was intense, sexy, and passionate. But there were withal lies and secrets that had yet to be brought to life. Then as a couple.....Trust and Lies.....All or Nothing.....Being In or Out.....was always on the periphery.

The mystery the reader was chasing finally came to life and was exposed. Merely during the journey, the relationship between Nick and Religion grew merely was constantly beingness tested. What started out with ulterior motives turned into something existent. Only those motives were never revealed forth the way and they eventually came dorsum to wreak havoc with Nick and Faith. Tin Nick and Faith survive? Can Faith really trust Nick? Can Nick brand Faith believe his love is existent?

I enjoyed this story. The author writes very methodically and plots out the story with the upmost of details. I loved that the author brought the story full circle. This duet is for lovers of passion with a touch of mystery.

"Money doesn't matter," Faith.. A place we love does." He strokes my hair. "Okay?"

description

2) The Cover: Didn't match the description given for Faith, who'due south described more than once equally being blonde, non a brunette. Catfishing, anyone?

description

3) Rebecca! Rebecca! Rebecca! I'll be honest and say I haven't read well-nigh of the author's previous books. With that beingness said, please don't assume that all your readers have. I go that it'southward fun to revisit previous characters, but maybe this could be washed sparingly instead of making a previous character practically a legit one in the current novel.

Information technology was a lot of: "Oh, this painting? Information technology was created by... Rebecca. Aye, a truly tragic tale for some other day, Rebecca's. Sigh, this gets me very melancholy -- let'due south relax with some java at the café, a place chosen Rebecca'southward. Oh, did you know that this gallery was the thought of Rebecca'due south, a very good friend of ours? Aye, Rebecca believed in living in the now because you might non have a tomorrow. I truly miss Rebecca...." I'yard paraphrasing, but yous get the gist.

description

four) Faith's Reactions: I understand that Nick's been both lying and withholding information from her, but when she inevitably starts finding things out, she reacts every bit if he's kicked her puppy, slept with all her female relatives, so pushed an former lady onto oncoming traffic. To her, it's non as if he'due south been treating her like a queen this entire time, has been falling in beloved with her, and should arguably be allowed the benefit of the uncertainty. Gee, he didn't tell yous who his parents were? Bah! Kick him to the curb and motility as far away as you can, girlfriend!

description

5) The Catastrophe: The buildup was meant to bridge two books, so therefore I expected a squeamish, juicy climax/catastrophe to justify the tension. What you get instead is literally about two or iii sentences... and that's it. Yes, the climax occurred and was over and done with in less than a paragraph.

description

Decision: By the end of the 2d volume, I was torn. On ane manus, I genuinely liked and enjoyed the main characters. I rooted for them, I wanted them to accept their happy catastrophe. On the other hand, yet, I don't think they got the determination to their story that they deserved. Honestly, I was a petty confused as to the villain(s), it was and then quickly explained away.

The decision to the White Lies Duet was riveting and intriguing. Nick was sweet, romantic, ascendant and supportive. Organized religion found her true inner-self and trusted Nick to guide her in the right management.

Nick and Faith both take problems with their parents. Nick has come up to terms with his … Faith is however having issues. She can't face the truth about either of them, she can't become the doubts out of her head. She has come to trust Nick to be at that place for her but still has concerns. She can still see a footling chip of the uneasiness in his eyes, fifty-fifty when he tells her that he loves her. But, can she trust her Uncle Bill? There was a reason why there was the autumn-out between the brothers. She knows she must face up the truth, confront him and bargain with the wounds that he ever opens.

Nick is totally committed to Faith, her art and her want to continue the Winery. There is 1 missing slice to his puzzle and and then he will be able to tell her everything. He asks for her trust, he asks for her love and he knows that it's non fair. She knows that in that location is something that he is keeping from her simply knows that he will reveal it in fourth dimension. The truth comes out just equally everything is falling into place for him. He finally has what he needs to convince her of his honey … but … at present, he doesn't accept her.

If you followed the Inside Out Series, y'all will exist happy to see a lot of Chris and Sarah Merit and the Attraction Gallery. They practice play a prominent office with Faith and Nick. So does the art world. I was a footling dissatisfied with the Macom storyline. I would have loved to accept seen more than of a conflict. Only, I loved how Organized religion handled the situation. I hated that she didn't confront Nick with what she learned simply loved the way Nick kept his promise and didn't let her go.

Lisa Renee Jones definitely has a way of weaving a story and keeping her readers invested in information technology. Normally, I would be totally blown-away with the twists and turns she usually puts into her stories. I looked forward to the showdown with Macom and was a footling saddened that there wasn't more behind that. And, I wasn't surprised past who was behind the problems at the winery. I wasn't disappointed in the story at all but felt that there was something missing. I would really dearest to find out Beck's story and Abel definitely needs a story … he was totally amusing and added just the right bear upon of sense of humor to a very serious and fascinating story.

I have been eagerly anticipating Shameless, after all, who wouldn't be after the ending of Provocative. This duet has been all virtually the action from the very start and in truthful Lisa Renee Jones fashion she starts as she means to go along…action…suspense…intrigue…action…suspense…intrigue. This was a rollercoaster of a ride not simply with the sizzling chemical science between Nick and Faith, just also with the undercurrent of suspense, was it murder and also, what happens when secrets are finally revealed? From first to last page, it just keeps coming and even after the end, I'm nevertheless thinking virtually them and that is always a skilful thing.

"Murder brought me here. Faith kept me hither."

Nick and Faith were a couple who fell quick and who fell difficult. Their human relationship based on not simply their scorching hot physical allure to one and other or their explosive chemistry between the sheets simply their inherent belief that they can trust one and other. Nick and Faith both have their secrets, both experience the need to unload, just the time is never right. The trouble existence though, when trust is such an important bond betwixt them, what happens when its cleaved? Protection is one thing, but lies through omission are even so lies.

"But hours later on as I lay in bed, holding Faith shut, I am not reveling in the mountain we've climbed today. I'm besides busy looking for a fashion to battle the sea of sharks that are my lies."

Lisa Renee Jones paced this book perfectly, it was fast paced which totally went with the vibe of romantic suspense. Fiddling clues and red herrings were at that place if you lot read between the lines, merely the truth was never revealed until the end. And then many what if's, so many different plots running through my head and nonetheless I was withal sideswiped. The villain of this story was who I idea during this book simply did they work lonely?

"Betrayal doesn't come up from your enemies."

This book was a journey for both Nick and Religion, both emotionally and physically. Their beginning was not expected, their journeying fraught with obstacles, but information technology is this that makes them stronger. Of course, you take the angst, that was to be expected, merely I actually did feel the connection between these ii despite their rapid development into a relationship. Sometimes you just know, your centre knows and these two but felt right from the very offset. Nick was always an private, he was the lawyer, "The Tiger," but in this book, he becomes Nick and Faith, an "us," and for me that was the biggest journey of all.

"I tin exist naked and fuck a one thousand thousand women and they wouldn't have annihilation but my cock, Faith. But you Faith, are the one who is 1 hell of a drug."

I loved this book, it was exactly what I expected and more, information technology more than delivered, and my only criticism is that I felt that the ending was rushed, at least it read that way. But, none the less, all the I's were dotted and the t'south were crossed, I got my answers and they got theirs. Sometimes it is worth that bound of organized religion.

"Sweetheart, y'all take pieces of me no ane was supposed to e'er take, and the many means yous could shatter them should take me running for the hills. But all I want to do is buss yous again. Hold you. Watch yous paint."

REVIEW: 4.5 stars-- SHAMELESS is the 2d installment in Lisa Renee Jones's contemporary, adult, erotic, romantic suspense WHITE LIES Duet focusing on billionaire attorney Nick Rogers, and winery owner/artist Faith Wintertime. SHAMELESS should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately upon the events of book one PROVOCATIVE.

Note: There is a slight cross-over between Lisa's WHITE LIES series and her Within OUT SERIES including several appearances by Sara and Chris Merit, Rebecca's lost journals, and the connection to our story line hero.

SOME BACKGROUND: Nick Rogers search for the truth brings together both the past and the present. Nick and Faith were strangers, never having met one another before the Reid Wintertime Winery and Vineyard open firm, simply are connected to one another through secrets, lies and a past shrouded in betrayal, mystery, and possible scandal.

Told from dual first person points of view (Nick and Faith) SHAMELESS continues to follow the building human relationship between billionaire attorney Nick 'Tiger' Rogers, and artist/winery owner Faith Winter. Nick Rogers had hoped to prove that Faith Winter was responsible for a series of tragic events that unfolded months before but meeting Religion and digging deeper into her life, and the lives of both of their parents plant Nick falling in love with a woman whose heart he will interruption with his own secrets and lies. As Nick and Faith struggle to save her family endemic Reid Winter Winery, Nick continues to search for the truth behind the abuse, debt and deaths connected to both of their families. What ensues is Organized religion'due south journey to condign a world-renowned artist. and the building romance betwixt Faith and Nick that will stumble when the truth is revealed.

Nick Rogers is a man determined to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love from both of their pasts. Family secrets and lies, betrayal and the search for the truth are the catalysts that set into motion Nick and Faith's future-a futurity that may non have a chance when the truth is revealed. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of sexually graphic, over the top linguistic communication and text.

All of the previous story line characters plays secondary and supporting roles including several cameo appearances by Sara and Chris Merit, Organized religion's ex-young man Macom Maloy, her agent Josh, winery manager Kasey, Faith'due south uncle Bill Wintertime and CEO of Pier 111, a social media platform; Nick'south PA Rita, and his all-time friend and fellow chaser Abel Baldwin.

SHAMELESS is a story of mystery and suspense; betrayal and heartbreak; power and greed; secrets, lies and exposing the truth but I did have an consequence with the quick resolution of the story line conflict-the predictable revelation of the person/people responsible felt most anti-climactic later on the long awaited build upwards. The premise is engaging and intriguing; the characters are colorful, dynamic and circuitous-Nick'due south secrets will destroy the edifice love between him and the woman he loves. The romance is edgy, provocative and passionate.

SHAMELESS and the White Lies Duet is a captivating tale of two people brought together by scandal, and the search for the truth. Lisa Renee Jones WHITE LIES DUET is a fascinating and moving serial that will leave you wanting more than considering there is so much more than to tell.

I was worried about reading Shameless having heard people complain there wasn't enough near the winery but was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't concur.

Shameless picks up with Nick wondering nearly Faith'due south role in the possible murders of his father and female parent due to a cryptic notation he found in his father's furnishings while Faith and he were happily playing business firm. The volume rapidly moves by that little tidbit and like 2 people who are intertwined and obsessed with each other, albeit both damaged and concealing parts of themselves, they apace end up fifty-fifty farther tied together. Nick kind of becomes more than of the white knight hero in this book and Organized religion becomes his object of pursuit in every way possible. She'due south his drug and I swear if he could do lines and snort her, he'd be drugged out of his gourd. Religion is equally crazy near Nick but feels in her gut that he'south keeping something major from her which of course he is. Nick has allow the lies get from the beginning chapter of the first book and he'southward terrified that revealing them at present will take away Faith and his possibility of a happily e'er subsequently.

In the meantime, he pursues the case of the winery, what the possible motive for double murders would have been in regards to it, who would have been enticed to practise then and for what. As he halps Religion with winning her inheritance and owning the winery he also gains valuable data from her in his bid to solve things. Faith in the meantime has started to embrace her art and is starting to observe success. With that comes her scummy ex now successful creative person swain in LA who makes a sleazy appearance and a throw downwardly to have her from Nick.

I had read reviews where people felt the cease was too rushed with the whodunit and reveal but it didn't experience rushed to me. Anything more and it probably would have felt similar information technology had gone on too long. It is the major focus for two books, having it conclude neatly at the end didn't bother me. And the author had a nice touch for those who read the novels when outset published by putting a recap of the first book in the beginning of the 2d.

Nick and Organized religion were red hot together. The constant push button and pull fabricated it not a question of whether they would exist together only just when and if the shit would hit the fan and how they would resolve it. Nada felt too contrived and like other second books I kind of enjoyed this ane more than the first because the characters felt like people I already knew and was invested in. Thus the book read much faster and was easier to disappear in. Kind of addictive. Still had a 40's film noir kind of vibe to it even if more contemporary than the starting time. Totally enjoyed information technology and finished it with a feeling of satisfaction. So.... 5 Stars for entertaining the shit out of me!

In the decision of Nick & Religion's story Faith was able to be true to herself and her needs equally an artist and individual…....And Nick even with all his dominant means is and then supportive of her pursuing her fine art and he is so swoon worthy in this book.

Organized religion always had a expert relationship with her father but not her mother and later their deaths sure things take been brought to her attention about their lives and it is making her dislocated and causing many other questions & concerns. She has an uncle that has been estranged for years but he is pressing for a human relationship with her simply she just doesn't trust him nor does Nick.

Organized religion has opened up completely to Nick but she still feels that he is withholding something that is keeping them at a chip of a distance. Just as everything seems to exist coming together The truth comes out.

There are some supporting characters in this book, Sarah & Chris Merit and I liked them so much I researched other books by LRJ and found at that place are books on their story and I'one thousand going to read those soon.

The conclusion to Nick and Faiths story was enjoyable to read. Information technology certainly drew me in and kept me engaged throughout. Although it did take me a few chapters to really get into information technology, and if I'1000 honest I did find the last few chapters a little rushed. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I gave this volume 4 stars instead of v like the previous ane was bc first, this one seemed a trivial fast paced as if the author wanted to merely stop it although information technology did accept a good plot and conclusion. 2d, I felt the h was a little abrasive at times here because she would get aroused and describe conclusions for no reason but this was equally a proficient read.
